In 2017, Henry Cabrera envisioned transforming the land, beginning with corn cultivation as a foundation for his ambitious lavender field project. By the following year, he introduced a central gazebo and meticulously arranged the lavender rows. To further support the farm’s expansion, he constructed a garage with a functional living space above. Over two years, his dedication resulted in the planting of more than 4,000 lavender plants, featuring 10 distinct varieties.
Cabrera’s farm quickly gained recognition for its striking beauty and tranquil atmosphere. Although privately owned, he creatively opened it for controlled lavender cuttings during peak seasons starting in 2020. This initiative not only enhanced the farm’s popularity but also created employment opportunities and fostered community involvement, with volunteers from the Kingston Hill Garden Club contributing to its success.
